This will save money, right? /S
However, the contracting documents also say that the tasks could be completed virtually, suggesting that they would not be subject to the same strict return-to-office requirements that have hamstrung FDA employees for weeks.
Now that’s what I call adding insult to injury.
People, including targeted citizens will become “non-persons”. This will, of course lead to unforeseen consequences, like an underground economic system that relies on cash and barter, because people will do what they need to do to survive.
We do this already in Canada to a degree, because we have a services tax, so tradespeople especially will give you the taxed rate if you pay by cheque, debit or credit, or a cheaper rate, often significantly lower if you pay with hard cash.
Yeah, good times coming soon.
I’ve noticed that more and more businesses here are offering a cheaper price for cash purchases than fot credit or debit card use. It’s almost like we’re getting practice for Tariff Time!
Cash is portable and untraceable through the bank until it’s deposited/withdrawn, but between those two points, lots of untraceable transactions can occur.
I don’t understand why there isn’t a lawsuit going to take away Elon’s access to our data and this centralizing of data. It’s specifically counter to a lot of data processing standards for organizations.
Probably because none of the laws were drafted assuming the call was coming from inside the house.
He has no federal authority. I want to find out what data he has collected and what he is doing with it. It is a major security breach.
Data breaches do come from inside the house all the time and there are laws protecting us from that.
As if he’d even listen to court orders.

[House Representative Gerald Connolly (D-VA)] also cites an obvious conflict of interest for SpaceX oligarch and Tesla tycoon Elon Musk who, while technically not the head of DOGE, is certainly its overseer as President Trump’s eminence grease.
Oh, that’s another good one.

Musk has a history of conflicts with the labor agency.
SpaceX and Tesla are involved in a legal attempt to eliminate the NLRB on the grounds that it’s allegedly unconstitutional. In the case of SpaceX, the agency gets in the way of Musk’s desire to fire staff who disagree with the noted fee-speech advocate. So far, judges are less than impressed with such arguments.
Tesla is also having words with the NLRB after the company fired workers at its Buffalo, New York, gigafactory in 2023, the day after they announced plans to form a union. The NLRB also ruled against Tesla in 2021 after the billionaire threatened staff with the loss of their stock options if they tried to unionize, as is their right.
We’re sure Elon would never hold a grudge. He seems like such an easy-going chap.
