For the first time, the monthly average of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has surpassed 430 parts per million at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii. The May 2025 number is higher than it’s ever been in human history and marks a significant jump from the previous year.

It was nuts Friday night, not seen thunderstorms like that in years, and we’re lucky, we live on one of the highest points of our town, our new soakway under the patio for sure helped loads. Still had buckets out, and water coming in through the patio doors.

Now, in all fairness, these studies are looking at fracking and drinking water, which is held to a different standard than irrigation water. But there is this one:

Given the climate change driven challenges these plants face, this seems like a bad idea. But those are the only kind the fascists have, so I guess par for the course.
