I suppose. I just have trouble imagining anyone who sat out the 2024 election being politically involved enough to bother attending a town hall. Maybe some of the misguided ones who deliberately didn’t vote as some sort of twisted attempt at protest, I guess?
If they are directly impacted by what’s happening, they might be more motivated to come out. And even if they don’t seeing others push back could be helpful in getting others involved.
Petition to rename Fetterman to Fetidman…

Also ironic at best that the GOP is suddenly rushing to the defense of a person with a disability.
Yeah, they missed a significant one on that list:
I mean… to be honest, that sounds like of bad ass for a guy in a wheel chair…
Yeah. Abbott’s disability is probably why he has never been a major contender for POTUS, no matter how hard he tries to minimize it. And he does spend a lot of time, money, and effort minimizing his wheelchair. some of it is sensible accomodations every person should get, like lower podiums but there’s also a lot of effort put into making sure all photos are waist-up and all group photos are taken seatedm
I don’t like anyone being made fun of for their disability. Even someone who has spent his entire political career making everything more difficult for every other disabled person in the state.
Right?
And in that sense, although I haven’t seen a clip of her saying it, it may have been a “reach across the aisle” moment, not her ridiculing his disability.
I used a wheelchair my first two years as an undergrad back a lifetime ago. People in the dorm nicknamed me Hot Rod. It was not meant as an insult.
A Republican-led Congress doing something like that?!
I’ll believe it’s possible when I see it.
It is good to see some movement though along another track of resistance, powered by wealthy people who Do Not Appreciate! the wrecking ball that Tramp is aiming at their investment portfolios.
Has anyone checked if Susan Collins is concerned or perhaps even very concerned about this totally unpredictable event?
She says that, but she literally voted for him to do so.
Sure, but any flashing of one’s spine in today’s Congress is noteworthy, especially by a Repub.
Of course they did. Callous assholes.
