… declare themselves either happily part of the fascist agenda, or willing to be complicit with it, and from this point on cannot ever again be trusted to be on the side of humanity or democracy.
Here’s the list…
Lucy McBath… WTF?
Democrat Derek Tran from CA doesn’t even surprise me. He ran against crazy GOP/Maga Michelle Steele and is worried about his future reelection chances.
Regarding Steele:
I really wish people would grow a fucking spine and do what they know is the right thing to do, these cowardly dipshits…
God, I’m so angry. I need to go make dinner…
Sigh. Yep.
Big hug to you.
From the liveblog on the Guardian’s website…
We’ll see if anyone joins Murkowski and Collins in voting against him once it’s on the floor for the vote.
Ernst already voiced her support for him, which is extremely disappointing coming from a veteran who experienced sexual assault during her own time in the military. If she came out forcefully against him she could potentially bring along other senators. As it is her support for him provides plenty of political cover for other Republican senators who might otherwise be on the fence. “If my dear colleague and distinguished combat veteran Senator Ernst believes that he’s qualified for this role then who am I to disagree?”
ETA:
For those that can’t see it now, it was a skeet that said:
Republican Rep. Andy Ogles has drafted a constitutional amendment aimed at allowing Donald Trump to be president for a third term. What do you say to him?
Along with a screenshot of the first page of the amendment.
Suck wet farts, Ogles!
Um…
Weird. It was there a half hour ago
They may have gotten abuse and/or a whole bunch of replies that could result in Secret Service investigations
Yeah. I hate this timeline
Since the post is gone now, can you remember whether this just aimed to repeal the 22nd amendment, or did it also contain something else? Like paving the way towards, say president for life or dynastic rule?
