Ahem; “Did someone say Star Trek?”
So I gather the aliens and/or gubmint n’er-do-wells are no longer mystifying the denizens of New Jersey?
Here’s a theory; the gubmint was running a test to see how long it would take people to become desensitized to unusual phenomena.
Oh. And here I am thinking that was purpose of the Donald Tromp Robot.
“We have long ago advanced past your primitive need to tie shoelaces.”
I guess those drones don’t have geofencing. New Jersey is mostly an exclusion zone.
I wonder if the episode is making fun of the (existing) idea, or people got the idea from the episode… it wouldn’t be the first time that some bit of UFO/alien lore came from a Star Trek episode.
Wasn’t velcro developed by a scientist after removing [Ed. note: ^&#^&@#] burdock stickers from his doggy? ETA: IIRC, he examined one of the bastard burdock stickers under a microscope, and was inspired.
I’ve got to admit watching her start to hang upside down like that made me nervous, even thought I was (reasonably) sure she would be fine for the brief time she would be there. Also: Henry Morgan changed a lot in the 12+ years or so before he’d appear on MASH, but that voice was very recognizable!
Harry Morgan used Henry Morgan pre-1955 and then used both from 1955 to about 1963, all pre-MASH and pre-Dragnet.
True. But they are two different people. The guy on I’ve Got A Secret was a writer.
Ah! That would explain the physical differences. I think the voice fooled me because I had the name wrong and I started listening for the distinctive voice. Brains are weird!
Ah! I did look up “Henry Morgan” and got pictures from MASH and Dragnet. After @RAvery pointed out that I got the wrong man (The Dude voice is optional here), I thought I’d used “Harry Morgan” by accident.
He actually did change his name back to his given first name because:
which is appropriate given this minidiscussion. The confusion continues!
It’s all part of a fiendish plot, I tell you.
Have we ever seen them together in the same place at the same time?
