People really need to understand that “smart” people can be stupid. Even better if they realize a lot of things they think seem “smart” aren’t connected to intelligence OR wisdom and may not have much social value. Also Elon isn’t that smart frankly compared to the cultish hype. That doesn’t mean he isn’t smart but look in his dead eyes when he talks then look at like Sam Altman in an interview or something.
You can tell whose processing power is more efficient.
Unfortunately the world is unfair and fortune sometimes favors idiots and assholes in a way that can even make intelligence and decency a nerf for everyone else.

I’ve been told I’m smart, but I do stupid things all the time. I often don’t feel very smart.
Also intelligence and wisdom are far from the same thing (as you mentioned).
For me, Grimes will forever be in the Kanye West waste bin of “will never listen to again” as far as I’m concerned. It’s not a huge loss to me — Grimes’ stuff was fine — but I was never a huge fan. It was a bigger waste to me when Kanye made his heel turn from talented eccentric to full on nazi sociopath almost overnight.

I actually find Kanye slightly more sympathetic if only because he is legitimately mentally ill to the point of psychosis and surrounded by enablers, literal professional victims, and grift. He’s also an asshole but there’s a legitimate problem that is affecting him too in a way that he is dangerous to himself and others. I can see how that complicates things and actually makes him paradoxically vulnerable even though I feel nothing but disgust and anger with when I hear the fucked up shit he says and does.
His music is kind of ruined but then kind of not. Like I still love American Boy, takes me right back… and Estelle still sounds just as good to me etc. But there’s a cloud over everything.
Grimes is just a grifty asshole and a hanger-on with some vocal talent and skill with production. But honestly if I had her skill or talent I’d rather let it rot than make the compromises she has with this world. I’m not going to demean her work because she loves to weaponize feminism against other women so I don’t wanna give her that win. But she bought into this and she’s milking it. So…Fuck her. She can sit her ass down with Yolandi for all I care. She’s an asshole who is losing an asshole fight and I don’t feel bad for her at all.

I think she’s also genuinely stupid. So less on the grifter side than the true believer side. Everything I heard her say about Elon just sounds so naive. She really thought, and probably still does, that he’s a genius.

I would say no, it isn’t appropriate.
Black holes are cool, they’re majestic and implacable forces of nature. Their gravitational pull draws anything and everything, indiscriminately, even light. They’re mysterious and we don’t fully understand how they work, even after decades of studies and theory.
Elon Musk is a pathetic creature, desperate for attention and approval. His targets for destruction are chosen with petulance and whimsy. His biases and bigotry, his rampant narcissism and lusts for wealth and power, are obvious to anyone with eyes and sense. We know exactly what he’s doing and it’s not cool at all.

Elon Musk is the opposite of a black hole – constantly vomiting garbage in all directions, incapable of taking anything in, and making himself impossible not to notice however much you wish you didn’t have to. It works out that “white hole” goes pretty well with his racism and personality too.
