Our 2nd grade nun taught us a much shortened version of this classic poem. The fate of the characters seems apropos to the latest lunacy:
The gingham dog and the calico cat
Side by side on the table sat;
‘Twas half-past twelve, and (what do you think!)
Nor one nor t’other had slept a wink!
The old Dutch clock and the Chinese plate
Appeared to know as sure as fate
There was going to be a terrible spat.
(I wasn’t there; I simply state What was told to me by the Chinese plate!)
The gingham dog went “bow-wow-wow!”
And the calico cat replied “mee-ow!”
The air was littered, an hour or so,
With bits of gingham and calico,
While the old Dutch clock in the chimney-place
Up with its hands before its face,
For it always dreaded a family row!
(Now mind: I’m only telling you
What the old Dutch clock declares is true!)
The Chinese plate looked very blue,
And wailed, “Oh, dear! what shall we do!”
But the gingham dog and the calico cat
Wallowed this way and tumbled that,
Employing every tooth and claw
In the awfullest way you ever saw—
And, oh! how the gingham and calico flew!
(Don’t fancy I exaggerate!
I got my views from the Chinese plate!)
Next morning where the two had sat
They found no trace of the dog or cat;
And some folks think unto this day
That burglars stole the pair away!
But the truth about the cat and the pup
Is this: They ate each other up!
Now what do you really think of that!

I suspect they subtly alluded to that with their use of the word “blunt” later in the article. The C word is effectively punctuation for Aussies.

I dunno. Too much playing to the gallery with “sure he’s a genius who can land rockets on Mars due to innovation and capitalism” and too little: “he’s just a moneybags apartheid Edison who has done shit apart from lie to people and get richer. He’s invented nothing and lied about everything.”
He’s nothing. Take away his gender affirming surgery and drugs and he’s a quivering blob of pasty jello.
Well that’s a service to humanity right there.
Trump is considering either giving away or selling the red Tesla he purchased to support Musk, a senior administration official told ABC News’ Rachel Scott Friday morning.
The way to cooperate with Musk is to continue to goad him to attack Republicans. And primary them.

Beyond the visuals, he has to profit in some other way: He’ll do what he does and money launder a massive bribe through some direct sale or auction of his Tesla.
