Among the reasons given for the Nazi salute is that he was upset he had to visit Auschwitz after agreeing with a Nazi sympathizer online. Why was he upset? Why did he agree with him? This is not considered.
As far as I know, these are the reasons to do a Nazi salute:
You are explaining what they are to someone so they know to watch out for them. This will in general be slow and without enthusiasm so it doesn’t look like a real salute though.
You are pretending to be a Nazi in a situation where that makes sense, like an actor playing one of the villains in a movie, or someone who doesn’t want the Gestapo to check their basement.
You are a Nazi.
Musk didn’t have to do a Nazi salute if he didn’t approve its message. He does.
“Regulations, basically, should be default gone,” Musk said. “Not default there, default gone. And if it turns out that we missed the mark on a regulation, we can always add it back in.”
If he succeeds, it would be a real shame if the amount of arsenic in Musk’s food and water suddenly “missed the mark.”
Yeah. I was reading the Elno actually favors ending a bunch of policies that benefit electric vehicle sellers because they hurt all his competitors far more than they hurt Tesla, now that Tesla is established. His (US) competitors are newer to the market and are selling at a loss, trying to pay down their manufacturing facility costs, which isn’t true for Tesla. He doesn’t give a shit about electric cars as a whole (or stopping climate change), just his own business.

Also, it feels extra pointless to claim Elon is “not really a Nazi, even though (he did overtly Nazi thing)” when he’s long been agreeing with, and even financially supporting, a bunch of pro-apartheid, neo-Nazi and other white supremacist types. Even before the Nazi salute, dude was himself clearly some flavor of authoritarian white supremacist. The story ultimately feels like the guy is saying, “I was so distracted by Elon’s narcissism, I failed to notice he was also a white supremacist.”
Did they include a strongly worded letting along with the lawsuit… Seriously, how are congress not demanding that law enforcement are physically taking these DOGE dipshits OUT OF THESE BUILDINGS right now. If I catch someone physically in my home, taking my shit, the first goal should be to get that person arrested for being in my house and taking my shit…
I hate that this all goes through lawsuits like it is a tort. These people are forcing their way into buildings and breaking into servers. We all know it’s a crime. One of the stories mentioned they threatened to call the marshals on employees – why isn’t anyone calling the police on them? Literally any cop has both the right and duty to arrest these people, but because it’s Musk’s orders suddenly nobody even considers the possibility?
It seems like what was illegal/immoral/criminal/absurd/clearly idiotic is now normal and it seems like no one cares. I think it’s something in American culture, right? It seems like everyone distrusts the government and when they take things apart, they even applaud…
The Dems are going through the courts, but they don’t seem to understand that at this point, they need to PHYSICALLY PREVENT the wrecking crew from accessing buildings and facilities. When someone is breaking into your house, you don’t threaten to sue them; you try to prevent them from breaking in.
Don’t assume the police and the courts are going to take Musk’s side. Make them actually do it then, for all the world to see. Letting him flagrantly break the law because you’re sure he has some way to get away with it is obeying in advance.
I don’t understand how they got to the point of kicking everyone else out and blocking their entry. Do they not have any kind of security there? Not one of them dared to take a fully justified opportunity to shoot or cuff a smug billionaire criminal illegally snooping around and become a national hero? Even if they have nothing against Musk, isn’t that their job?
