We are never obliged to accept the platters of dog crap on our social media tables, no matter how much it offends the people trying to serve it. These chiding pundits can pick up their fork and dig in if they want to, but theyâve got no business trying to tell the rest of us what media we should choose to consume.
I like the nuclear-strength block Bluesky offers. Iâve already seen and blocked several accounts from folks who proudly proclaim theyâre there to âenjoy liberal tears,â and I still see plenty of political discussions and arguments on my skyline. Maybe it does run the risk of creating an âecho chamber,â but I donât need to waste my time on Neo-Nazis, bigots, and trolls who think theyâre much more funnier than they actually are, and Iâm not going to, no matter how many times pundits try to guilt-trip me into it.
If theyâre so concerned that people donât want to hear them out any more, maybe they should consider why itâs happening⌠instead of pulling a Principal Skinner and assuming itâs everyone else whoâs wrong.
