Escalating commitment.
Perhaps he should just have it permanently affixed to the tow truck, and just drive the tow truck instead?
Thatāll probably save money in the long run.
Aw, who am I kidding? Itāll immediately save money.
Is that Xit real? I canāt tell if it is realā¦
Itās really not very far for him to have to go.
Muskās comment is deserving of a thousand rage emojis, at least.
Funny how so many small busisnesses and smaller chains function perfectly well without CEOs, huh. That strongly implies that while elements of finance like paying for shipments and balancng budgets are necessary, CEOs are not.
I distinctly remember working for Borders in the final years, watching a parade of CEOs sail off on their multi-million-dollar golden parachutes after a host of bad decisions, wondering if I was going to have a job two months down the line. Eventually, I didnāt. And we werenāt lazy, we were working our asses off trying to keep things running in spite of corporate managementās misallocations, missed opportunities, and general malfeasance. We workers made that business run far more than they ever did. Saying āpay us what you oweā is never greed. Refusing to pay us is a living wage is greed.
āAmerica would be destitute without usā? Bullfuckingshit, asshole. America would be a paradise without your class of professional parasites. America would be vastly improved if the stolen wealth you and your ilk hoard was free to circulate through the economy, feeding, housing, educating and healing those who need it.
Iād have a few other things to say to Apartheid Clyde if I had the chance, but Iād risk running out of obscenities long before I finished.
Heās such an idiot. Thereās a huge difference between feeling nothing for someone who headed up a shitty for profit health insurance that routinely denies insurance claims, and actually cheering for a gunman.
I think Poeās Law is definitely in effect on that one. Havenāt found anything to indicate it was real, but so easy to believeā¦
Itās worth noting the only thing he says CEOs do is help shareholders. Not how they help customers or drive innovation or even benefit the company, the sorts of things that you might expect to be told, simply that they help people with money get more. And on that much I am inclined to agreeā¦except I guess to him that is America and the world, and to me itās whatās killing both.
I feel like this is more the fault of the news consumers than the news providers.
God, I missed Bordersā¦ I always prefer a good indie, second hand book shop, but out in our suburban community, the Borders near us was great. All the employees that we saw on a regular basis were fantastic humans who clearly loved books as much as we did. The CEO played no role in how great our local store wasā¦
My soon-to-be nephew-in-law, an orthopedic surgeon, just called. His Tesla is on the side of the road with a flat. They apparently do not come with spares. What the actual fuck? No way to get him back on the road tonight. Iffered to come get him, and let him use one of our cars tomorrow, but my niece is coming to get him. Stupid status symbol piece of shit.
Itās Tesla-ing my patience.
I feel sorry for Nikola.
Teslas are too heavy for most off-the-shelf jacks so they donāt come with spares.
Back in the early days of Tesla their thought was āPeople who choose Tesla donāt change tiresā
So, āStupid status symbol piece of shit.ā then.
Yeah I guess
