Sure, but my point is that people are pissed over what’s going on here with healthcare. I consider my family extremely lucky with regards to our coverage, but even there, we’ve had issues getting things approve that caused us some issues. We’re lucky to be in the medical network we’re in, which has a lot of prestige and sway and our insurer is less likely to deny coverage than this company… but people are righteously angry about the state of our for-profit systems.
United CEO Andrew Witty gave an address to the company today (leaked to me), telling employees “we guard against…unnecessary care” and that “There are very few people in the history of the U. S. healthcare industry who had a bigger positive effect on American healthcare than Brian [Thompson].”
emphasis mine
These people are ghouls
Is this like an ink blot test? I see a clean shaven Jake Gyllenhaal during his Donnie Darko period.
That’s from The English, right? Fabulous miniseries.
Westworld
Oh, right!
Watch The English…it’s better!
I’ll have to check it out. I really liked the first season of Westworld, but seasons 2 and 3 I liked less each season.
He looks very happy. Jovial.
I wonder if one of the guy’s goals is to keep this story in the headlines. Keep stoking the rage people feel towards health insurance companies and the conversation about how broken the US system is going.
If so, this bread crumb trail is working. Monopoly money will generate speculation for days.
I saw one good idea, just speculation though, we’ll probably never know: It was the amount of a denied treatment.
MSNBC is reporting that the backpack that the Midtown shooter ditched in Central Park was full of Monopoly money
Ha, that’s perfect! After the shell etching too, I think this dude might have more such messages that will keep stoking the Folk Hero fires.
Oh… poor Raygun… /s
