I have all the board games. Didn’t know they made a computer one.
Excuse me, do you have change for 50 million people?
ETA:
If anyone plays the board game, dunno if it’s still available but there’s a mobile app to replace the spinner and it’s narrated by Claudia Christensen.
Ahh yeah, it does retcon the events that come later but i thought it advances the G-Man plot somewhat. I remember all the talk of it being like Half Life 2.5 or a spiritual sequel given the advances in gameplay mechanics. But i didn’t see it as a tech demo, i think it still remains one of the few VR games to really make me want a headset.
The RTX remaster of Half-Life 2 does look spectacular.
Myself, I played through Alyx on my original Rift, and thoroughly enjoyed it (especially Jeff.)
Personally, I do regard it as being HL3, but can understand why a lot of people wouldn’t.
I’m sure there are VR heads more dedicated than me who will claim otherwise, but I still think this is the best VR game, closely followed by Superhot VR.
Lone Echo gets an honourable mention for that moment when they let you out of the station for the first time; it had me holding on to the walls IRL. Never known vertigo like it.
OK, I finished both of these. They are very, very strange. Also, incredibly short; I did 1 1/2 playthroughs of each to get all the achievements, and it was still less than an hour and a half.
Brotato normally costs 5€ and is a silly time waster that is totally worth the money but the objective is no budget… and this week is free on Epic this Week.
After that, the Epic freebies will be Bus Simulator ‘21 and LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga.
The LEGO game in particular is well worth paying full price for, but a steal at the low low price of “free”. It is good for some 100+ hours of gameplay if you choose to 100% it and like all LEGO adventure games, it’s very high quality.
No Gravity games is doing its “11 days of Switchmas” promo again this year (US Only, sorry)
Starts on December 9th, goes for 11 days. There’s a couple of catches though.
You have to own one of their games to start, but you can get one free by subscribing to their newsletter. To get each game in the promo, you need the ones before, so you can’t miss a day, although you can pay to catch up.
It’s mostly shovelware, but I purchased on of their games before, and figured hey, free games.
