And what good is power unless you can use it? And if you use it to do something uncontroversial and benign, then is that even an exercise in power?
No, it’s only an exercise of power if it’s hurting people, and they can’t do anything about it. If it’s hurting people you hate, so much the better, but it doesn’t matter. Real power, raw unleashed power, is about being able to do whatever you want to whoever you want, and they can’t stop you.
He’s doing it because we hate it, and he because he can.
