Which two are supposed to be the visionaries? (I assume there are two only because they used the plural.)
Depends on which definition of visionary, don’t it?
One of the definitions given in the Cambridge dictionary reads
A person who is able to imagine how a country, society, industry, etc., will or should1) develop in the future2) and to plan in a suitable way.
That’d be all of them.3)
Footnotes
1) According to the visionary.
2) Just “the future”. Pretty neutral. One man’s utopia can be another man’s dystopia, and vice versa.
3) “People who have visions should go see a doctor.” – Helmut Schmidt
I turned on their AI once and read their answer. It was exactly the website I had just visited. No extra information from other sites.
AI is super sleazy.
It does kind of explain why they’re looking for people who understand how graphics hardware really works, though!
They probably laid all of them off and are looking for replacements.
“And that’s when the man in the castle with the seven fireplaces said it.
“I’m glad there’s OxyContin and video games to keep those people quiet.””
There will be no mourners at his funeral.
I always forget that that guy exists until someone posts one of his posts… thanks!
From the LGM comments:
The thing that broke his brain, especially when it came to universities, is when his daughter came home on break, listened to him bloviate, and accurately told him that he was full of shit.
I have no idea if this is true or not, but I regularly see middle-aged people refusing to learn from their kids and it’s heartbreaking. “You’re not dead yet! Learning sparks joy, and I can see you lack joy! Go forth and learn something new!”
Combine that pig-headedness with a shitty outlook and too much money, and, well, here we are.
Oh no! Please don’t take away new features, which are obviously a critical part of word processors and spreadsheets.
