Totally unsupported theory here: i wonder if they pulled something from her social media suggesting she held âunacceptableâ woke viewpoints or expressed opinions opposed by the current asshats in power. Seems like something they would do.

But she didnât get a visa. She was trying to come in through the visa waiver program, which allows people from certain trusted countries, like Germany, to enter for tourism or business without a visa as long as theyâre staying no longer than 90 days. To be eligible, you do have to have ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) approval, but that doesnât appear to require the sharing of social media accounts.
Itâs interesting because Homeland Security is claiming this woman was planning on working as a tattoo artist while she was here and wasnât just a tourist, but the visa waiver program allows that. The big requirement is that you arenât staying more than 90 days, and she showed them her return ticket to Germany to prove she wasnât staying more than 90 days. She never should have been detained. My guess is, and I said this in another thread, sheâs a tattoo artist and she looks the part, with multiple visible tattoos and piercings. Border patrol probably immediately judged her to be âone of those peopleâ (gay or just generally on the left politically) and decided they didnât want to let her in.
