REEET-REEET-REEET ALERT, ALERT - LUCY IS GOING TO HAVE A HAPPY MOMENT OR TWO!
Today, my musical partner is going to drive me to a dispensary where I can get a nice amount of cannabis free with any purchase - and it happens to be in the building that was the drug store for which he was a delivery boy back in the mid-1960s! He’s also taking me to Dollar Tree so I can get a few things that are actually worth more than a $1.
It’s high time!

I finally got around to scanning these two pages from “The Cartoon History of the Universe II” by Larry Gonick. I find the first panel of the first page and the last panel of the second page to be particularly comforting:

There were 2 deer in our yard this morning. I didn’t get a photo, but it was nice to see them having breakfast and then leap over the fence like magical creatures in the fog.
Damn, I’m tearing up over here. That’s so sweet.

It’s not much for news, but tonight I finally made a 15c green almond soup recipe I’ve been meaning to try for ages (water, scallions, spinach, fresh basil, fresh cilantro, ground almonds, salt), and had leftover peach and blackberry crumble for my pudding.
To top off the general relaxed medieval feeling I’ve queued up some old Time Team episodes on YouTube.
For a moment I thought that was 15 cents, and I thought damn, where does she get ingredients that cheap and was confused by the “medieval” comment. Then it clicked.
