I gave it half a year thinking Iād get used it, but Iām back to the noisy clackety-clack of clicky blue Cherry switches
More clickity clackity please
Iāve noticed that when I try to use a non-tactile keyboard -mechanical or not: I actually had some dome keyboards with more tactility than some modern mechanical ones - I make more mistakes because I do more accidental presses. Also my hands get tired faster because I do more force to bottom the keys (TBF this also happens with new tactile keyboards until i get used to the correct āclick pressureā).
Amusing alliteration, always an agreeable addition
I think that for 70 bucks they could have at least included a usb hub in the keyboard.

A new experience for those of us at our house who use corded keyboards. My partner tells me the most recent update on his MacOS has rendered his OEM Apple keyboard nearly useless.
We scrounged one OEM Apple wireless keyboard and heās now trying it out to see if that will suffice.
Apple has been notified of the issue. Jah knows if they plan on fixing itā¦
Typing this on a 2011 MacBook Pro that hasnāt been updated since High Sierra. (I donāt do anything on this machine that requires a secure connection or frankly secure anything.) Still works ok enough.
Title misread by me as Chinese board. I spent several moments in āWTF?ā-land over that until I followed the link.
Posting my keyboard purchase since @Abe_the_honest is giving me guff (i kid)
I got this last night on impulse
Iāve been pondering for a while that I would like to replace my logitech keyboard. Thereās nothing wrong with it per se but Iāve been dissatisfied with them as a company. I ended up getting the RK ROYAL KLUDGE S98 from the Amzuul sale. Iām not familiar with the brand, but Iām a sucker for aesthetics and I liked the look of it and I have been lowkey wanting a keyboard that can be used wired/wireless, with a little screen on it, and a physical volume knob. My perfect keyboard though would also be 100% layout but very few, if any are made that hit all of my likes so I compromised and get a 96% one.
The reviews for it look good, some people seem to dislike the software and how fiddly it is to use custom gifs for the screen. Hoping I can figure it out.
These tend to be āgenericā chinese keyboards, usually running some kind of custom TKL-firmware. They are not bad per se, but software always tends to be the weakest link ā and nonexistent Linux support, so if you want to configure it, you need to do it from a Windows PC, though this affects most brands, big and small.
Having said that, it looks good :3
BAD PANDA!
Thankfully i only work on Windows OS so that much isnāt really a barrier for me. Review-wise though people seemed to like the overall build and the typing feel. I also like that the switches are hot swappable, i doubt iād want to change the switches on it but its good to have the option.
