Sure, but that doesn’t mean that people can’t be making meaningful art anyway…
I can see that. It could be the image she’s hoping to cultivate, too.
I agree, but again, I doubt we’re the audience she’s interested in or that connect with her music.

Perhaps. And to be honest, there’s a little bit of resentment there on my part because I’d love to be a live and recorded artist and make enough money to live off of, which would mean self-publishing, promoted, and released. And I’d like folks to see you don’t have to be under 40 to do it.
Well, at least the band and I are still talking to each other, lol…
I think, for me, that’s where punk rock comes into play. Making music a business can have other consequences, which are not so nice… and it can take some of the joy out of making music, I think. Plenty of punk bands play for the love of it, and not for making a living. Music is such a core part of human existence, that we’ll do it, even if we can’t make it our careers.
Oh HELL YAAASSSSSS!!! Can’t wait to hear this.
Very fitting.

Me singing “Burn Down the Mission” from 11 years ago.
Not superior to the original, but this is such a difficult song to get right that it’s astonishing to see anyone even come close:
Backing musicians on point, too. I appreciate how much they all seem to be enjoying their mutual performance.
Way back when I was in school one of the girls was complaining to another about how there were no good all girl bands. I said “Sure there are! There’s Barenaked Ladies, and of course Violent Femmes.”
Kind of an assholey thing to say, don’cha think?
Reveal unto us your revelation!
It was just funny at the time. Caught 'em totally off guard and they had no idea whether I was being serious or not. (That was pre-Google time when you heard music on the radio but didn’t know what band it was, and heard band names but didn’t know what their music was.)
Ah, got it.
Probably my favorite Traffic tune of all-time!
