happy music rec monday!
today’s big rec: pop music fever dream
one of brooklyn’s cult favorite rock bands, pmfd is a four-piece barrage of noise rock & hilarious dead-pan humor
for fans of: parquet courts, idles, model/actriz
pmfd’s music bounces between quick tempo punk and a droning eulogistic thumping beat in a way that is characteristic and singular to them
they have cultivated a noise rock sound that is all their own in a world of copycats
and it’s a shock to me they haven’t blown up yet

In honor of this news I’m listening to the better Canadian rock group, just my opinion of course. They’re one of the very few bands I regret never seeing live.
I just hope the 3 song set gets released somewhere.
This is cool, they got Forest Gump on bass.
