No, those are OEM TVR colours alright. Weirdly, staid old Rover did a similar paint option back in the day.

This is one of those videos w/a much shorter original vid which repeats. I hate those, but this is worth seeing.

It’s explained in the comments why she’s backing in.

Oh, and she belongs to the International Steamship Company. He apologizes in the comments for his misspeaking, despite reading directly from the script whomst he’d accurately written himself :face_with_spiral_eyes:  :sparkling_heart:

Of course men who are secure in their masculinity have no problem with electric cars. (See Norway, the land of Vikings, where 90% of new cars are electric.) Kinda like how Scotts are not embarrassed to be seen wearing kilts because they’ve got nothing to prove to anyone regarding their masculinity.

Gemera, huh? Let the naming-jokes fly.

This reminds me of one of the reasons why Chrysler didn’t produce the turbine-powered car in the 1960s: It didn’t roar like a V-8. It sounded more like a vacuum cleaner.

Loved seeing it in The Lively Set. (It was the drafting-design scene that I loved the best.)

Can certainly see why the range is called the White Mountains.

Thought the name sounded flamiliar; wikipedja say:

Mount Washington is an ultra-prominent mountain in the state of New Hampshire. It is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288.2 ft (1,916.6 m) and the most topographically prominent mountain east of the Mississippi River.

The mountain is notorious for its erratic weather. On the afternoon of April 12, 1934, the Mount Washington Observatory recorded a windspeed of 231 miles per hour (372 km/h) at the summit, the world record from 1934 until 1996. Mount Washington still holds the record for highest measured wind speed not associated with a tornado or tropical cyclone.

The mountain is located in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains, in Coös County, New Hampshire. The mountain is in several unincorporated townships, with the summit in the township of Sargent’s Purchase. While nearly the whole mountain is in the White Mountain National Forest, an area of 60.3 acres (24.4 ha) surrounding and including the summit is designated as Mount Washington State Park.

The Mount Washington Cog Railway ascends the western slope of the mountain, and the Mount Washington Auto Road climbs to the summit from the east. The mountain is visited by hikers from various approaches, including the Appalachian Trail, which traverses the summit…

This is on our list when we go back to NH to visit. When we were there in winter 2023, we could just make out the cog train from the very grand Mt. Washington Resort at Bretton Woods.

It only travels partway up the mountain in the winter.

What a Gorgeous hotel! Rather Grand Hotel-esque {Mackinac Island, MI}, which is a big compliment.

It sure looks - and sounds! - like a wonderful railway and place.

Same with the Pike’s Peak Cog Railway:

but there’s no elegant AF hotel, not that I recall when I watched it before.

Bonus:

Urban German rack railway, Stuttgart:
