I don’t see him doing it at all - he’d be afraid of getting a paper cut, wouldn’t he?

I can’t believe we actually had to litigate the question of whether an ex-president can prevent the executive branch from using the executive branch’s classified documents while investigating a crime.

“Why do people stick by Trump as long as they do?”
“People think I’m being humorous but I’m not. It’s because we’re stupid.”

Do any of the math geeks know the odds here? It seems like, if these are truly random, with a 1 in 9 chance of each filing going to Cannon, then there’s something like 1 in 10^15 chance of 9 or more out of 29 filings going to her.

I was perusing a “famous quotes” website last night and stumbled onto this by H.L. Mencken. He nailed it:

As democracy is perfected, the office of the president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.
