Usual so ‘on point’ that it’s not so much comic as first draft of history by Tom Tomorrow (aka Dan Perkins). coulda shoe-horned in a rictus grinning bessent (treasury) to side murmur: “and with all this distraction our tax cuts for the rich can slide right through unnoticed”.
(cartoon seems legitimate, I found several others from the same cartoonist an era and they have aged very little)
