Browsing the con subreddit has so many people saying that Trump must be doing well because they trust him reminded me of this one from a few weeks back.

I guess 23 or 4 years isn’t too soon anymore (for me anyway).

I was thinking of the timing also. That event hits home for personal reasons, and in a different context the use of the event would seem almost sacrilegious to me… but not here. This one kicks Trump right in his tiny balls and (for me) reshines the light on his false claim that he was helping the first responders. Now I’m just wondering who the second plane would be.

Slightly off topic, but this brought up one a weird moment I had this past week.

I’d borrowed Led Zeppelin IV - The box set from my library. I only recalled the one album, so I was a little curious as to what was in the box set. It was much larger than I expected because in addition to two CDs (the original and a “companion” CD with alternate versions of the songs from the original) there were two LP albums(!) and a rather nice book with concert and appearance photos along with other information about history and tours, at least up till about the mid 70s.

One photo jumped out at me. It was the band receiving a letter of appreciation from the mayor of Hiroshima in 1971. They had performed a charity concert in the city to raise money for victims of the atomic bombing. (Yeah, wow, that raised my respect for the band right away.) Then my brain kicked out the math realizing that as recent as 9/11 is for me here and now, the bombing of Hiroshima was just as recent to that time.

  1. Time is weird.
  2. Apparently humans can forgive damn near anything.

And, five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.
