Market control via patent portfolios; none of the owners possess the knowledge and yet they control the people who do, control the workplace, and design the contracts so that innovation is carefully controlled.

But I’m so close to being in that top 10% myself! I just need about 2 million dollars. Just one winning lottery ticket, and I too could be getting wealthier!

The investment scam is renewed:

Musk may be a pain in the ass, but he thinks out of the box.

Multinational Caterpillar Inc is trying to get the apparel trademarks for a California coffee shop revoked, over the word “cat”. This despite the fact that Caterpillar Inc only has exclusive rights to the Cat logo (the one with the triangle, we all can recognise instantly) and Cat + Cloud uses their entire name, and entirely different fonts and layouts. Only the most willfully ignorant person would confuse the two.

Patriarchy is a wealth cult that we must fight:

The trio of owners, who additionally operated the nearby Flats Fix where Ocasio-Cortez also worked, are former models. The most prominent, Charles Milite, once told New York he decided as a child that he wanted to be wealthy after watching the post-apocalyptic movie Soylent Green, where the sole rich character dines on steak instead of liquified people. “I decided then and there I wanted to be the person who ate steak,” he said.

There’s a musical called Urinetown, where the villain, Caldwell B. Cladwell, is in charge of the water utility, and makes obscene sums of money charging people for toilet access.

Things like that remind me of Cladwell’s Villain Song, “Don’t Be the Bunny”:

I need more Urinetown in my life

I dunno. I look around at reality and I already see too much Urinetown for my own liking.
