…is being shown on BBC2 under the “Horizon” banner - right now! (11.05pm UK time). I doubt this means it will reappear on iPlayer, but you never know.

ETA And now it IS on iPlayer. It is a combination of interview and fly-on-the-wall and well worth a watch.

He made very fine posters that I’d want to turn into t-shirts.

Loved the layout sketches include in the article.

The Hendrix poster just explodes out at you. And with lots of technical aspects to appreciate. Excellent draftsmanship; no CAD (even the earliest versions) used by Byrd to get all that tedious spacing right.

About his Rolling Stones poster, this was said… although I’m also sensing some Maxfield Parrish influence: … twirling billowing fabric, drawing for inspiration on the late-19th-century motion photographs by Eadweard Muybridge.

Colours are Parrish-ish, for sure. Mucha is also an obvious influence.

We’re watching Rockford Files, it’s an episode with Leslie Charleson who was also the longest cast member on General Hospital.

I got hooked on General Hospital way back in the 70s when I had a long illness and missed a couple weeks of school.

I wonder what happened to her so I asked the internet, she just passed away.

Oh, that’s so sad. RIP.

I grew up with AMC, and started watching the other two while I studied after my classes in college. ABC soaps were the always on the college big screen in college. To this day, every time I see Nathan Fillion I think of his Joey Buchanan from OLTL. (Fillion must be the nicest guy because he pops up EVERYWHERE.)
