My wife was wrapping birthday presents for our 44 year old son in law.
He’s a successful graphics engineer but he loves and collects this stuff.
We lucked out in the son in law department. No drinking or bad behavior, just a responsible adult that likes Legos, Super Heroes, and Comic Con.
And kitty was supervising.

Leavenworth WA. Kinda like Schwarzwald Disneyland.
There is a Nutcracker museum there. In this guy’s opinion its really a collection. While there are a lot of old items everything was arranged haphazardly and most things were without labels.

We have one of those down here in GA, up in the mountains…
My BFFs family used to go up there, and they’re Austrian, and they’d go eat at a restaurant there, and the staff would speak German at them, but it’d be the kind of German you learn in a class here, and of course, her Grandmother and her father speak the dialect common where they’re from (her grandmother actually grew up in Yugoslavia, if I’m remembering correctly, before the war)… No one understood them!
