See it, post it

It’s not all bad, per se. Sometimes it’s good to have a little movement in the more obscure parts of the city. I just think it’s a shame that tourists are doing this way: a bus full of people stops at the door, everyone gets off, takes some photos and the guide immediately calls everyone back for a new quick tour somewhere else, a kind of blitzkrieg travel. I think this is sold as an experience, something out of the ordinary, but around this library there are places that are not so Instagrammable, but that are also interesting and worth visiting. But how can you visit them if sometimes even locals don’t go to these places? I´d probably miss a lot of things when I travel. That´s why I like to walk around, sometimes without a destination.

Yes, they are. A place we can call sanctuary.

TIL about “ancestor money”. You can even buy it on Amazon - 321 pieces for $9.95! People seem to be happy with their purchases, too - it has the “Customers usually keep this item” note on the listing.

It is spectacular. I have several photos of it in my “libraries” collection. I use them as desktop backgrounds and backgrounds for Zoom sessions. It’s one of the more beautiful examples.

Others I have are Morgan Library, the Peabody Library, the Rijksmuseum Cuypers Library, and the Stuttgart Stadtbibliothek.

Ok, she’s fine as a singer, I think. And she’s a good actor. But . . . what?

Saw those at a gas station in Maine on our road trip 8 days ago and my brain still can’t process it.

This has been a thing in recent years, I’ve noticed… musicians offering up their names in various branding opportunities… Post Malone also had a branded Oreo, and I’ve seen several rappers and athletes with their names/likenesses on other snacky foods.

Is this cause of Ben & Jerry? Or Wheaties?

More like late stage capitalism.

“How do we get people to buy more of our red velvet novelty cookies now that they already tried it and the novelty has worn off?”

“I know, co-brand with a pop star!”

I mean yeah, of course… but I’m just saying if that’s where some companies got the idea from?

Our daughter visited us at the campground and brought mom flowers for her birthday.

What you gonna put those in?

The Bucee’s vase of course.

It looks like you got some good (but not definitive) information from Reddit on this. I’d be interested if you’re able to find out more.
