At minimum a VP doesn’t need to be anything but a good campaigner and not show their ass. Abrams would drive turnout which will win the election. She may or may not be good at fundraising behind the scenes but that is remote from campaigning.

Well, they tried the Wall Street insider (Kaine) last time and it didn’t work so good. I anticipate a pivot during the virtual convention to replacing Biden with Cuomo or someone else anyway. VP-wise though a tough person like Abrams will still be needed.
I’m still holding out for Warren. I’m going to write her in. Fuck Biden. He is terrible. And if he gets 8 years, that will be absurd.

You know, when I was 13, I bought a t-shirt at a thrift store. I was wearing it, and my aunt saw it, and asked me what I would do if I found d out the last person to wear it was a big fat black lady. She spat those last words at me. I was really, really shocked. Not by the sentiment. I grew up hearing that all the time. Purple suburb in a predominantly white blue state, you hear things like that. I was shocked by who said it. My aunt was a Democrat! She was a well-respected local business woman, which meant she worked alongside a lot of local black buseinessowners and government officials. How could she imply that blackness was a horrible contaminant that would ruin me by contact?
I like Stacey Abrams. I know other members of her family personally, and they’re wonderful people with integrity by the boatload. In alienating the youth vote and the leftist vote and failing to court the Hispanic vote, the DNC has made this vote about the suburbs. I think it’s a bad strategy. I think the party should build a big tent, rather than court a shrinking subset of voters. But that’s the strategy they’ve chosen, and my own experience of growing up in those places … I don’t think a Biden-Abrams ticket will do it.

They won’t push for a turnout-based strategy, but it’s not all about them, right? When whatever passes for a convention happens, the little peoples will have to gum the works up if the DNC heads in any direction like they went in 2016. Insiders, “proven and tone-appropriate for Wall Street donors”, all that shit needs opposition.
