Although each failed launch costs a few million dollars, the lessons learned are worth even more.
I don’t know, Musk insists on doing things this way, but there comes a point where the lessons you’re learning are ones you could have figured out another way or worse already should have known. For instance a few rockets ago one of the lessons was “build the flame trenches everyone says you need to, instead of rushing things for a 4/20 joke”. Maybe the real problem is a narcissistic idiot who refuses to learn.
