NASA Employees Now Subject To Random Searches As Agency Becomes AI-Fueled Police Mini-State

[…]

NASA employees aren’t free from the prying eyes of management outside of work hours either. According to Futurism, the space agency acquired a one-year license to use Clearview AI, a digital surveillance system. Clearview can effectively scrape Google and Facebook to compile your entire online presence to send to your superiors. Considering that the White House axed a nomination for NASA Administrator because he was more loyal to Elon Musk than President Donald Trump, I don’t think Clearview is solely being used to protect classified NASA knowledge.

If this goes on, pretty soon defecting to North Korea will look like an attractive option.

I’ve seen some of the testing they’ve done with the rovers at JPL. Some of the basic tests are pretty primitive and have them running on regular dirt. Frankly I think it’s pretty impressive that they’ve worked as well as they have, given that there’s not actually a decent way to simulate low-g environments.

The next international space station should have a module for testing rovers in a huge centrifuge with variable speeds.
Or be a wheel’n’spoke design. You could have anything between 0G and 1G in a spoke and +1G in an outrigger, up to a point. Funding shouldn’t be a problem with this administration at all if you sell it as a Nazi design, with added gold-plating.
