This is real, by the way. I’m not linking it, but you can find it on the Googles.

ETA: Out of morbid curiosity, I asked it a couple of questions about trans people. It gave really progressive answers. The evangelicals are going to think that’s the devil.

FTA:

“It fails because people are scared to do the right thing. In James, my favourite book of the Bible, there’s a bit that says that anybody who knows the right thing and fails to do it, commits sin. And that’s the problem at the heart of this Church.”

This could be said about so, so very many in churches across the world right now. And most specifically in white Evangelical churches here in the US. I do not believe for a moment that no one in them has seen the evil in the current administration. But it is easier to just go along with the crowd.

For them, it seems to be a case of the ends justifying the means… they are fine going along with Trump, because they think he’s going to deliver unto them the end times, which they so desperately want. It’s the religious version, I think, of actually wanting to live in historically tumultuous times, because it’s exciting and not boring, and it means that they get to heaven to live with their weird ass version of Jesus sooner.

You may be right. I tend to be more generous with benefit of the doubt. Cowardly vs. just plain evil. But wrong regardless.

They may see evil in the current administration, but its also going out of its way to put power in these religious communities. And its also telling them it’ll fulfill long desired goals. That temptation is enough to shove aside any morals, as Mindy said… if the ends justify the means who cares?

the sooner, the better, i say…

i know it has been said in these threads many times, but what exactly is it that makes these evangelical xtian ethno-nationalist twits believe the he ( and it is always “he” in their minds) needs their goddamn “help” in bringing him around to kill everyone on the planet that ain’t them?!
i mean, if this “god” is infallible, yet works in “mysterious ways”, WTF is aiding and cheering the self-destruction of civilization, the entire planet and all life on it, going to accomplish?! rapture? riiight. ted fucking cruz and MTG and all those twats get to leave before the rest of us burn while they laugh it up with maga jeebus.
this idiotic worldview is just so fucking nonsensical it defies any basic understanding of… anything!
i cannot wrap my head around any of it.

disclosure: i am not christian. i do not ascribe to any religious “faith”. but make no mistake, i know that karma is real and what we put forth into the world will be revisited upon us - just not by some vengeful, wrathful skydaddy, bent on beating us all into adoration of him.why the fuck would i want to spend an eternity with a sumbitch like that?

edit:
i want to add that i do not begrudge the actual faithful who follow the teachings of their Christ. true believers are not the xtian zionist evangelical christofascists.
that’s all I have to say about that

Now that’s a clickbait title!

So far I’ve mostly encountered Christian and occasionally Jewish comparative-religion channels. Any other suggestions?
