Some people were claiming that the pencil mark could be erased and a different candidate could be marked in. And of course, nobody would notice the greasy “erased” pencil mark.

As the video says, you can bring your own pen or Sharpie. But it’s hard to imagine enough fraudsters, erasing madly at every polling station, to swing an election without anyone noticing.

On a job this morning I was talking to the person in charge of ordering very expensive parts for very expensive things.
One part from Australia had an additional $1000+ added to the cost, the manufacturer said tariffs.
The funny thing was other people at the company didn’t seem too concerned, they said Australia had been screwing us for years, it’s about time they paid.
They saw first hand, it’s the American paying the extra cost but they still believe it’s the other countries paying the tariffs.

Here in Australia, people are baffled and irritated by the tariffs. The US has a trade surplus with Australia, so it doesn’t even follow Drumpf-logic to apply them.
The only mitigating factor is that the US is not a major trading partner of Australia, so the overall impact will be minor.

Or logic. Even before he got into office this time, as the stock market soared, Trump was calling it the “Trump stock market.” As soon as it crashed because of his tariffs, Trump started calling it the “Biden stock market.” He’s done similar things before - always taking the credit while casting blame, regardless of how much time has passed (or if he’s in office). Trump blamed Biden for things that happened before he was in office and outside the US. Biden’s (negative) impacts transcend space and time…

I sometimes read those Daniel Dale fact checks on Trump’s statements, and wonder how he maintains the will to live in the face of day after day of having to address that kind of relentlessly stupid and often pointless dishonesty. I read one the other day that was substantially longer than Trump’s remarks, because everything Trump had said was, of course, wildly wrong, requiring explanation - although at some points it becomes the extremely polite, journalistic equivalent of “wtf is this utter bullshit?”
That was usually an accurate description of any speech Trump has made, but now it’s always true, and boy are they getting weirder.

EVERY T**** appointee is the opposite of what their job is supposed to be. Rubio is not diplomatic, so he was Sec of State. He’s also insecure, so now he’s the National Security Advisor.
