I meant that Italy would protect the Vatican, since it’s located within its borders.
Addendum: I may live in the US, and I may’ve gone to and been graduated from the Detroit Public School system from 1969 to 1982, but my father made damned good and sure that I learned world history that wasn’t - and prolly still isn’t - taught in schools.
So I feel, deservedly so, that I know a little bit more about the history of the world than many of my peers. I feel that you didn’t mean to sound condescending, but it did come off a bit that way. I mean, come on - anyone who knows that the Vatican is located within the environs of Italy knows that Italy is not going to invade it. That’s like saying Detroit is going to invade Hamtramck. (look it up, lol).
