Yep. She did.
Angela knew about the affair, reportedly even well before the impeachment. Ken said he stopped and then went back to his mistress(es). But she still stuck by him. Got all pissy about how she wasn’t allowed to vote in the impeachment. Rallied other senators to vote no in the impeachment. And introduced legislation that granted even more power to the office Ken holds (OAG) this recent legislative session. Which she has done before. Should be fucking illegal and is unethical as fuck.
Why is she finally bailing? My personal take is his choice to run against Cornyn and try to become senator. It’s causing a lot of strife in the Texas GOP and lots of people think he’s going to fail. Angela leveraged his political success and donor relationships to get her Texas Senate seat. So perhaps she wants to unhitch her wagon because she thinks the horse is gonna croak.
Or she knows something we don’t and it’s bad enough to really tank that guy. Hard to believe such a thing exists at this point

I like your take about her own ambitions.
I think to rid Texas of Paxton’s ongoing grift it would literally have to be more than one dead boy and possibly actual cannibalism for people to even care and still 80% of Republicans wouldn’t drop support without Trump’s command because it’s ok when it serves God’s design or something like that.
My other thought is that perhaps whatever unknown leverage he had over her is a moot point now and she hates the fucker.
