The check cleared!

I can’t help thinking that the colonising nations are now being colonised themselves, and they really don’t like it. Chickens coming home and all that.

Our daughter is on the way Downtown for a Tiger’s game. She said they passed a few of these.

If only we could have had a deal before…

Oh wait, we did. It was a product of nearly 2 years of multi-lateral negotiations, and it seemed to actually be working. Then in 2018, Trump scuttled it ā€œjust becauseā€.

I guess the ā€œArt of the Dealā€ means, ā€œwe had a deal, and I torpedoed it, so let’s make a new one because clearly I’m a trustworthy party acting on good faithā€.

There’s a bridge on 395N in Virginia heading toward DC with the same adornments.

He did the same with NAFTA, replacing it with USMCA. Then he threw that out too with the tariffs. You’d be a complete idiot to think he was acting in good faith. No one should be trusting any agreement with the US government, cause with Trump in power, they’re not worth a damn.

It’s a bit of a mix

In Russia, President Vladimir V. Putin has long invited foreign leaders to attend the annual Victory Day Parade in Moscow. But after Russia invaded Ukraine and the West moved to isolate it, Mr. Putin’s guests of honor took on outsize significance.

ā€œWhen the regime is fully confident of its legitimacy, the loyalty of the people and their armed forces… you don’t need this sort of display,ā€ said Dr. Aron, ā€œThe more you need to display it, I think, the more you show that there is an issue of legitimacy.ā€

But, it also talks about France and the United Kingdom.

This is the county seat in a majority-red county in very red Indiana:

ā€œI was a lifelong Republican. I once belonged to a Young Republican Club,ā€ Anduskey said. She even met Bob Dole in Lexington, Kentucky. But no more.

ā€œI have even considered leaving the country,ā€ she said. ā€œI googled how to immigrate to Canada.ā€

That was during Trump’s first term. She learned that because she didn’t have a job and lots of money, Canada wouldn’t want her.

ā€œHe’s been a million times worse than I ever anticipated he would be,ā€ she said. ā€œHe’s just ruined it all, everything he touches.ā€

Her vitriol toward Trump was clear: ā€œHe’s immoral, he’s corrupt, he’s a convicted felon, he’s mean-spirited, he has no compassion.ā€
