I did think of that but I’m not sure they value lives at all. A lot even seem to treat their families more like assets than anything else. And sure, they might be momentarily frightened when an angry mob is ready to hang them…but if the money says it was no big deal then it was no big deal. Lives get “thoughts and prayers” but money is important.
