The goddamn Trump Administration (Part 2)

See, I heard “Daddy” as generic daddy used to make an example. He didn’t explicitly call trump “Daddy” in any way, really.

So this whole thing, to me, is just so fucking stupid. I mean, what if he’d said “Mommy”? wait no couldn’t happen cuz patriarchy sorry.

Looks like the bbb is becoming dead in the water.

Marge is out.

I love President Trump and I really want to vote to pass his agenda in the Big Beautiful Bill when it comes back to the House from the Senate, but between the far left Senate Parliamentarian stripping out many of our good provisions and the special interest lobbyists sneaking in dirty poison pills like 10 year state moratoriums on AI, I’m currently a NO.

We need to pass President Trump’s GREAT tax promises!

We need to pass President Trump’s GREAT energy plan!

And we need to fund President Trump’s GREAT Border Patrol and ICE!

But we do not need to pass a One Big Beautiful Bill that continues to fund sex changes on kids, Medicare and Medicaid for illegals, and destroys federalism!!!

Leader Thune needs to fire the Senate Parliamentarian, which he can!

The Senate needs to strip out the 10 year AI moratorium all together, which should have been Byrd ruled anyways!

And THEN we can pass President Trump’s and the people’s agenda!!

Thimerosal is used in about 5% of multidose seasonal influenza vials.

At least there’s a limit to the harms, even if it’s not much comfort.

This actually reminds me of an incident at a former employer.

I was supporting a PEPFAR program in Tanzwana for White Savior International (names changed to protect me). WSI had committed to providing $10 Million in pharmaceuticals as the matching contribution. WSI partnered with an NGO that sources pharmaceuticals from Big Pharma companies, usually drugs that are approaching the end of their shelf life and won’t be sold in the US.

The NGO did an excellent job of sourcing drugs, but Tanzwana wouldn’t let them be imported because they didn’t meet their rules governing import of pharmaceuticals. Some were prohibited, but most didn’t meet their requirements that Pharma be at least six months prior to expiration in order to be imported.

The execs at WSI were all upset about this. When I pointed out that every country was entitled to make their own rules regarding import of medicines, the response was a petulant “Tanzwana should just allow them in because the US has the highest standards.”

It was an ugly moment.

But it reminds me of how important it is for each country to have its own standards, especially since Brain Worm is hell bent on ensuring the US won’t meet anyone’s standards.

um i could be wrong but isn’t that unconstitutional? i know the FFs made it to be able to stretch, but criminee, even Reed Richards/Ralph Dibny/Eel O’Brien had their limits!

(and really, how far do Cthulhu’s tentacles stretch before he can’t stretch 'em any further - think about it!)

Yeah, a bit different than the woman who shouted at Mark Carney (I think when he won the election); “Lead us, Big Daddy!”

Fox getting really weird with it:

Yeah, I’m pretty sure no one in Europe calls Trump “daddy” unless “daddy” means “clown” in some European language.

My wife sent me a Facebook story about Capitol police handcuffing peaceful protesters in wheelchairs that were protesting the proposed cuts to Medicaid.

Honey, you gotta be careful with Facebook news stories because Facebook.

No wait, sorry honey, it’s absolutely true.

The decision from ACIP could have global implications, because vaccines used around the world rely on thimerosal as a preservative in multidose vials, which are less expensive.

“I know ACIP is focused on the US, but recommendations that the ACIP makes are followed among many countries around the world,” said Meissner.

No, Cody, not anymore.

Seriously, that seems like a small concern. Public health authorities in other countries aren’t stupid. They will just switch to another standard to follow rather than being tied to RFK Jr.s lunacy.

Serious question: where are vaccines made, and who are their biggest customers?
