I’ve been saying this for years but not nearly so eloquently! I truly believe this. The reason we see so many child rapes in religious communities too. When it comes down to it the argument is that men should be able to own other types of people and you should be able to put your dick into what you own or even kill it because it is your property.
The “evil liberal agenda” suggests that one should never own humans and that humans in need of a custodian should have social protection from specific abuses like rape and murder.
Well I sure as hell hope that they don’t release Epstein’s accomplice Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her crimes.
(Her lawyer has been requesting this meeting with Trump’s Justice Department, claiming that she didn’t receive a fair trial. Since Trump is now claiming that the whole Epstein business is a hoax cooked up by Democrats it’s entirely possible he’ll just pardon her, blowback be damned.)
Major update in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation – in a huge shift in its approach, the Department of Justice is now willing to work with the late sex offender’s right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell.
In a surprise announcement Tuesday morning shared by Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the FBI and the DOJ would like to know anything Maxwell has to offer about uncharged third parties who participated in Epstein’s criminal enterprise.
Blanche said in the statement the government has already reached out to Maxwell’s legal team and even expects to meet with her “in the coming days.”
Maxwell’s attorney David Oscar Markus has confirmed to CNN he and his colleagues have ongoing discussions with the government and are “grateful to President Trump for his commitment to uncovering the truth in this case.”

Yeah, I hope they end up with extended family in the US - seems like the best option. (People are expressing their lack of sympathy for the father, but I’m not sure what anyone is supposed to be sympathetic about - he literally chose all of this. They moved to Russia, he chose to join the military, apparently without doing any research at all about the conditions. He didn’t get drafted, this was entirely voluntary. Their understanding was that he was joining for a non-combat role, but they don’t speak Russian, so who knows what was actually said to him. Certainly it shouldn’t have been a surprise, if he bothered to read anything. As with Trumpism in general, they’re being harmed by their own ignorance, but it’s a very deliberate ignorance.)

Oh no, you misunderstand - it is very divisive: it divides decent human beings living in the modern world, from the soul-less brain-dead right wing fuckwits who want to take us back many decades if not centuries. Yeah, this committee is not going to choose Trump.
(I should say for balance that his vice leader was nominated by FrP, the far right party, and the committee is equally divided among nominations from the parties in the Norwegian parliament, as it’s supposed to be, but I don’t think they will find a consensus in Trump of all people)
