The goddamn Trump Administration (Part 2)

Jake Spring, Climate and Environment Enterprise Reporter at The Washington Post , discusses his reporting on why the EPA is proposing to rescind a 2009 legal opinion, referred to as the “endangerment finding”, which determined that greenhouse gases pose a threat to public health and welfare, and justified their regulation.

They’re doing it with the intention of killing people, though, and friends of the administration like Loomer have made it clear that genocide is the goal. The camp was built specifically for mass murder, but they’re trying to provide themselves with plausible deniability in the means used. They’re hoping for the Overton window will shift enough so they won’t even have to bother with the camps at all - they’ll just shoot people in the street.*

*I recognize that sounds like wild, grotesque exaggeration, but the administration’s own deeds and rhetoric clearly indicates that’s their end goal. Constantly talking about immigrants (and protesters) as literal invading alien forces waging war against America, etc. takes us to the point where an armed military response would be totally reasonable the second you accept that framing.

Their justification is that it’s only for protests that turn into “riots.” But when is a protest a “riot”? When ICE uses force on a number of people. In the same way ICE have a pattern of assaulting and arresting random people, then charging them with assault to justify their unlawful acts (even when clear video evidence exists to disprove the claims), ICE also have a pattern of deploying various munitions against random bystanders, witnesses and possible protestors, sometimes immediately upon arriving at a scene, so that they can claim a “riot” that justifies whatever they subsequently do. So any protest, at the whims of ICE, will be turned into a “riot.” Which means Republicans are functionally outlawing any protests against ICE and their unlawful acts. Presumably any legal action against ICE will be next to be criminalized.

I can’t imagine how demoralizing it must be for already demoralized DoJ attorneys to spend all the time and taxpayer money to build and (somewhat) successfully prosecute case only to have their boss fired on a whim, and the guy at the top threatening to undo all your hard work on a whim.

I will refrain my urge to post here as I am a citizen of an enemy state poised to destroy the United States.

This undermines not only the viability of U.S. companies’ business operations in Brazil

And that is the concern of the US government why exactly?

  • The Order finds that the Government of Brazil’s politically motivated persecution, intimidation, harassment, censorship, and prosecution of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and thousands of his supporters are serious human rights abuses that have undermined the rule of law in Brazil.

And that is the concern of the US government why exactly?

They’ve always been afraid of rainbows. (I wonder how long before our house and others like it are declared illegal?)

My point was that even if it was true that those companies were excluded from the Brazilian market, that’s their problem to solve. A government should not interfere in another sovereign country to pursue private interests.

It is part of the reason Cuba is under sacntions since the 1960’s . Liberals and ANCAPS hate the State, but only when the State doesn’t serve them.

Because then they have to recognize that other countries have different laws?

But… but… if an insurrection is held accountable in a “developing” country, then the US may demand accountability for its own insurrectionist!

It is more than this. Showing support to Mr. Bolsonaro’s cause would undermine Mr. Lula’s future. But it backfired.

The Dropkick Murphys on Sunday dedicated a song to President Donald Trump ― but it wasn’t exactly an honor.

“This next song is dedicated to a guy who wears orange makeup, shits his pants in his diapers, rapes women, touches kids,” vocalist Ken Casey said at the Warped Tour stop in Long Beach, California. “It’s called ‘First Class Loser.’”
