Iāll disagree with him on one point. MAGA is a cult of personality. I donāt know that MAGA will easily transfer their devotion to anyone else. It sure as hell wonāt be Vance. He has no charisma and heās married to a brown woman whose parents were immigrants. Abd there damn sure isnāt anyone else in Trumpās orbit who can take over that role. This will make it easier, and in fact likely, for other Republicans to oppose Vance.

I donāt think Trump has a clear successor as messiah either. Vance would of course follow him as president, but all the people currently vying to be Trumpās lead sycophant would then be vying to be his replacement for everything else. At a minimum the disunity would give an opportunity for opponents.

I agree with you completely. Iām not sure what will come out of it, but the threat against Republicans will mostly dissolve overnight. No one in T****ās circle can command MAGA to primary or attack GOP politicians with any realistic chance of success. That would free them up to oppose whoever ends up at the top.
The underlying disease will remain but at least the most visible symptom will be relieved.

The underlying disease (well one of them) that the US is divided as a result of years of lies from the right, which leads to things like The Heritage Foundation being legitimised by many in power, will remain and will be hard to treat even if Trump dies tomorrow. It may become more virulent and harder to treat if Trumpās demise is blamed on those who oppose the right, and weaponised to accelerate the christo-fascistsā agenda.
That said, I hope he dies a long (maybe a week or two) extremely painful death starting as soon as possible.

I might suggest something a bit more subtle. Every time he lies, spray him with water, like a misbehaving pet. Itās less overtly violent for one, and would probably be nearly as entertaining.
