I am only surprised that it isn’t more specifically targeted at white women can’t use contraception. But I guess if you deport everybody else, it becomes superfluous.

Dean Cain played Superman in the 90s tv series Lois & Clark: the New Adventures of Superman. As the name suggests, it focused more on the relationship between Lois Lane and Clark Kent/Superman. It wasn’t bad, really, for its time.
As for Cain himself, he was a standout college football player . . . at Princeton. Not exactly a football power, so it was legitimately impressive that he caught people’s attention. His biological father was Japanese and the son of immigrants who were interred in camps here in WWII, which makes his heel turn that much worse.

He never crossed my radar, so I looked him up on Wikipedia. His filmography includes this, uh, item from 2020.
Exposes the Deep State plot to undermine the Trump candidacy and presidency and it reveals the lies behind the fake Russia Collusion narrative.

Incidentally , a co-star in that film is Kristy Swanson, who was Buffy in the first Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie (the unsuccessful one, with Luke Perry), who once tweeted she was “MAGA since 1969” (her birth year). She was hospitalised in 2021 with severe COVID complications. Her filmography slows significantly after that.

Cain also had a role in the CW’s Supergirl series, playing Supergirl’s human adoptive father, Jeremiah Danvers. Trump really caused a lot of people who had otherwise perfectly fine careers to just really reveal they were always awful people.

Chapter one of How to Lie With Statistics is about the Carefully Chosen Average. Usually, you don’t need data “noone else has” to mislead. So the layer of bullshit on top is uh, special.

I saw right-wing fundamentalists freaking out about the X-Men movies when they first started making them. Just talking about “mutations” (and the briefest of references to evolution) was enough to send them into conniptions about “offenses to God” - the queer metaphor (and actors) was just enraging icing on the cake for them.
I believe it was specifically the “medium” (not median) American. So, you know… who the fuck knows what that means.
