I think it’s more like they just picked countries where a lot of white people trace their origin from. Italians, Irish, and Polish have made the cut now. Of course they are noticably ignoring Spain. It appears the French and Swedes must plead their case.
And you only get to check one?
And what if you’re biracial? Do you also get to check white and choose a white ethnicity?
Thanks to various accidents of history, I have a pretty good idea of my ancestry back to the 1840s, and for some branches to the 17C.
So… which ethnicities should I include? Especially given that while some of those branches were well known to my immediate family, some have come as surprises.
Do I include English and Welsh? And Scottish, and Irish?
Do I have to split out Norwegian and Swedish, or can I lump them into Scandinavian?
Do I include Australian? Does that even count?
Are you fuckers, in fact, just making shit up to justify why you don’t have to feel bad about treating black and brown people like they’re not people?
Oh, hey, quick question: do people from Spain count as “white”? Do they? Are Spaniards “white”?
Energy Star program may be eliminated or privatized by Trump administration : NPR
The President’s budget zeroed out Energy Star funding at EPA. But the Senate Appropriations committee voted to restore money for the agency. The question now is whether the rest of Congress votes to keep the funding — or backs the White House’s efforts to terminate Energy Star.
It’s a minor issue int he larger sea of assholery, but come on, guys. What the actual fuck?
Do they know that you can have white people even in South America?
If it was after 1523 they should be separate. Of course, if it was Danish and Norwegian, the question would be hard to answer about any ancestors from before 1814

You can’t underestimate either their intelligence or intentions.
LOL, no.
Swarthy and, you know, catholic.
Oh, He knows, sure He knows…
Do like most white people and pick the ethnicity of your favorite uncle or grandmother! Pretend you are 100% that.

A source familiar with the matter told the Daily Beast that the Vances decided themselves not to dine at the pub. “The Bull was included as a potential option for lunch, but the family ultimately decided not to go. There was never any indication from The Bull that he or his family were not welcome,” the source said.
My immediate reaction was “bullshit,” which seems very appropriate! (I know, JD, those grapes were undoubtedly sour anyway.)
Considering how right-skewed most polling has been recently, this is especially bad. He won’t believe it, of course, and will probably sue Pew for publishing it, but I do suspect it is actually worse than it looks. Just need to get to the election to emasculate him. That is fun to think about.
