I just realized something. Most of the honorees have songs that play at Trump rallies.
I know from TV coverage that songs from Phantom are a mainstay*, as is I Will Survive. Iâm sure that they play Rock and Roll All Nite because thatâs exactly the kind of corny selection I can imagine being on a Trump rally playlist. So thatâs most of them.
Maybe when Trump says he âhand pickedâ the honorees, he just threw some darts at his rally playlist and said, âthatâll do.â
* - I was watching CNN and Anderson Cooper had this look of utter confusion when talking to a correspondent who was at a Trump rally and he heard songs from Phantom being played:
