The goddamn Trump Administration

Oh, it’s worse than that.

He is, compared to literally every other one of them.

Additionally, I think that Elon Musk is a Black Swan in all of this; I don’t think the Republicans ever planned on the richest man in the world becoming the shadow president, and it remains to be seen if all their agendas run in the same direction. All roads lead to Putin, but who is the ultimate puppet master; Putin or Musk? Probably each one thinks he is manipulating the other.

Why is it that nobody brings up the current trade agreement? I’m sure arbitrary tariffs run counter to some part of it. Use the dispute resolution mechanism included therein (there is one isn’t there?) and stop trying to appease Trump.

He is going to do whatever he wants regardless. Stop making border security promises and recall everyone talking trade. Tell them that Trump’s justifications are based on lies and, therefore, meaningful action cannot be taken.

Ignore his noise and quietly prepare for the invasion. The way everyone runs around like chickens with their heads cut off every time he blurts out some bullshit drives me nuts.

Odd.

Aviation folks: The squawk code isn’t one of the distress or emergency codes (starting at 7000), so the pilot likely hasn’t indicated any sort of emergency, true?

Photo from Kennedy’s swearing in. The more I look at this picture, the more bizarre it looks. That’s Cheryl Hines in the polka dotted blouse. Appearance wise, she seems to have adopted the MAGA look.

“Sassoon” rang a bell. She was the prosecutor for Sam Bankman-Fried. I will always be grateful to Elizabeth Lopatto for writing like this:

Defense lawyer Mark Cohen did his best. Unfortunately for him, the cross-examination was conducted by Sassoon, who looks like someone who uses “summer” as a verb, and often appears deceptively timid, with her hands held close to her chest. In her cross, she simply unhinged her jaw and ate Bankman-Fried.

I think of him as Trump’s lap dog. So does Trump.

everything about that pic is wrong on so many levels.
the adoring look on empty green’s face (from a lower angle - looking up), the face you describe of rfkjr’s wife, sidelined - yet approving, and the portrait of saint ronald, shining his beneficent gaze upon the proceed…
it makes me fucking sick to my stomach.

Plus, Reagan would be horrified by Trump, even though his administration started us down the road that led to Trump. A lot of MAGA thinks Reagan was a RINO these days. Given Trump’s recent obsession with McKinley, I’m kind of surprised he didn’t replace that portrait with McKinley.

That’s an awesome description!

To be fair, Canada and Mexico didn’t. At least not with Trump - the border agreements were made with Biden. Trump taking credit for them adds a complicating wrinkle, but neither Canada nor Mexico seem to have made any real new concessions/agreements in the face of Trump’s tariff threats. Of course there are still tariff threats and the tariffs on steel/aluminum, which deserve their own responses, and the (empty, as it turned out) threats deserve repercussions…
