The goddamn Trump Administration

Yeah - well my use of the word ‘proven’ there was doing a lot of work. Only Donald can ‘prove’ anything these days, of course. Everything else is ‘fake’.

A fraudster, always, makes the loudest noise, screaming, yelling, and complaining.

I’m just going to let that one sit there for contemplation &/or the irony meter to break.

France will ask for back all the money that the King sent through Monsieur De Beaumarchais to help the colonies achieve independence.

At first I laughed at the headline where I saw this in Newsweek. (I mean, he DOES know Canada is a member, doesn’t he?)

And then I read that it was not Donny the Tyrant who suggested it, but the Mail and Sun (UK newspapers one should never believe at first sight) who were speculating. And then when I read the rest of the story I thought “that’s exactly the sort of shit Starmer and co would come up with in a bid to curry favour and protect the UK from Donny’s fuckwittery” and those vile rags usually have a kernel of a rumour or a leak somewhere to go on, or else someone in govt is just flying a kite to see if it stays up.

Now I’m just a bit sick at the back of my throat.

But I cannot see any of the rest of the Commonwealth going along with it (I hope). Anyway, AFAIK it is not in Charlie boy’s gift. He is also just the titular head of the Commonwealth - not the leader or decision-maker.

Has Donny any clue what theCommonwealth stands for? Read the fucking charter you orange oaf, and realise why they’d never have you.

The White Houses tries to explain.

Hours after the president made his comments on Friday, the White House claimed that Trump was not talking about whether he signed the document last week.

“President Trump was obviously referring to the original Alien Enemies Act that was signed back in 1798,” a White House statement said. “The recent Executive Order was personally signed by President Trump invoking the Alien Enemies Act that designated Tren de Aragua as a Foreign Terrorist Organization in order to apprehend and deport these heinous criminals.”

Yet Trump’s assertion that “other people handled it,” and his specific citation of Rubio, is at odds with that White House statement.

Set up shop in the EU! We developed most of the COVID vaccines that ended up in use anyway. What the US contributed was money, and that has clearly stopped flowing anyway.

For oral liquid, we use that route for rotavirus vaccine. For both of those, though, the virus is primarily fecal-oral and local immunity (that is, immunity at the gut mucosa) is more effective than humoral immunity (in the bloodstream.) Better to keep the bad guys out in the first place than to hunt them down once they are in! The oral polio vaccine was actually a lot more effective than the injectable, but once in every million or so doses it would revert to the paralytic version. You just cannot trust viruses! Oral version is still used in some places, and recommended in areas of high incidence. Hopefully, that won’t soon become US, but who knows?

“It was the autopen. It’s terrible. The most terrible thing ever. We’ve never seen anything like it.”

(He then issues an EO banning autopen, signed by autopen.)
