That’s the funny bit - Paul Krugman was talking about this, saying he initially assumed that Navarro must have been out of town for a few days, but no, Navarro was in the White House, just in another room for a meeting. We’re back to the dynamics of the first administration, where Trump’s position is that of whoever managed to talk to him last, and major policies can change in a matter of minutes. My mind remains blown that not only is the US ruled by a demented toddler, but that almost half of voters still voted for him anyways.

I wonder if his cult ever grow tired of the continual desperate insecurity, meanspiritedness and lunatic rambling and miss the days when they’d just get pleasant well-wishes and a feeling of calm and normalcy. Surely many are old enough to remember how that felt, even if just from past Republican presidents.
But who knows, maybe even back then they were seething and smashing their kids’ Easter eggs onto the floor in a rage because George W. Bush wasn’t viciously attacking the left when he sent out warm greetings to all those observing the holiday.
