I’m not saying congressional dems can’t do more, but the question was around trusting Dems to “handle the nation’s problems” when there’s really nothing they can do here. It’s a shit sandwich all around.
Yeah, I just looked up the actual wording of the question in the poll:
I guess I can see how some people might respond to that thinking that it would be silly to say that they trust the Democrats in Congress to “handle the country’s main problems” when they’re currently out of power. Presumably those folks would have answered “neither.”
If any deals at all…bribes taken to back off tariffs.
They could refuse to vote in favor of Trump’s picks for the Cabinet and top offices.
They could vote no on everything, slowing down or stopping progress until demands are met.
They could pull out every obstructionist tactic in the book as a form of resistance-- filibusters☆, point of procedure, anything and everything.
They can join the many, many protests☆ taking place to show solidarity and support for the common citizen.
Hell, they can not show up for work, which means no quorum and no ability to vote on anything.
Even if they don’t have the numbers to bring this travesty to a screeching halt, their efforts would at least send a clear, concise message that all this is not okay and that they stand firmly against it.
They could be doing a lot, if they wanted to. They don’t and they aren’t, except for a few brief gestures that haven’t amounted to much so far.☆
They were elected to represent us, to lead us, and if they can’t, or won’t, then what good are they???
I should probably be more considerate, but my empathy fails me on this. Sure, they’re scared and confused. We’re all fucking scared and confused… but unlike our congresspeople and senators, the rest of us don’t have the power and resources to take this on at their level. They have that ability, through the offices we elected them to. And they’re choosing to sit on their hands and comply in advance-- and a few of them are even agreeing with the policies, advocating for shifts in party strategy to align with the bias and hatred currently on display.
I’m sorry, but I just can’t accept the excuses any more. I don’t have the patience left to sympathize with them. They need to either stand up and fight or quit and get the hell out of the way for those who will.
☆ Yes, Cory Booker did a filibuster, and immediately after it ended, the Dems still voted in Trump’s next pick, so I figure it cancels out to zero. Yes, Bernie and AOC are holding rallies, yet they stop short of recommending any plans for action, so where is all that energy supposed to go?
Or, put another way: How much outrage is required to frighten enough of Congress (enough to make them fearful of losing their jobs, and enough of them to form a mandated functional majority for change).
Bottom Line: I don’t care if disruptors are Democrats, or Republicans, or Independents. Just call them Democrats then eject them.
World Heritage Post.
You mean the town halls the Republican congressmen are too cowardly to even show up at in the first place? Hard to throw anyone out when the “troublemakers” are the only ones involved enough to attend.
P.S- I went to one on Friday, where’s my fortune?
Two events caught my attention last week — and neither is getting the outrage it deserves:
The massive federal force used to arrest Judge Dugan in Wisconsin.
The GOP’s silent, methodical effort to trigger a Constitutional Convention.
And now?
More judges have been arrested.
This isn’t isolated — this is escalation. It’s time to say it again and plainly:
They are PRIMING the public for a constitutional convention.
In Wisconsin, FBI, ICE, DHS, and ATF were deployed — not for a dangerous criminal — but for an unarmed man without a weapon in a civil immigration case.
They weren’t there to enforce the law.
They were there to send a warning — to create fear — to target the judiciary itself. And now?
More judges are under fire.
They are trying to scare every judge into silence, to turn courtrooms into political battlegrounds.
They are weaponizing civil administrative matters to criminalize judges.
(Administrative warrants are NOT criminal warrants.). This is an abuse of federal power — by design. This is a pattern unfolding before our eyes:
Massive overreach.
Judges step in.
Trump plays the victim — blaming the courts for “obstructing” him.
For weeks, Trump has hammered the propaganda:
“They won’t let me do my job.”
“I’m being blocked.”
This isn’t frustration. This is brainwashing.
• Framing himself as the victim.
• Framing judges as enemies.
• Conditioning his base to reject democracy itself.
He is setting the stage for authoritarian rule — and the GOP is laying the legal trap.
Meanwhile, the GOP is quietly working to gather enough states to trigger an Article V Constitutional Convention —
Not to fix the system — to REWRITE it. Entirely. As of April 2025:
19 states have passed Convention of States resolutions.
34 states are needed to call a convention.
With additional pushes — like the Balanced Budget Amendment efforts — the total now sits close to 28 active states — just 6 short.
New developments show the momentum accelerating:
• Wyoming just passed a new convention resolution.
• South Carolina introduced Bill 3558, preparing for commissioner selection.
• Rick Santorum is actively lobbying swing states like North Carolina.
• ALEC and dark money groups are fueling coordinated pressure campaigns across state legislatures.
• Congressional Republicans introduced H.Con.Res.15 at the federal level, adding fuel to the push. They are moving strategically, focusing on swing states, targeting legislatures, and coordinating pressure at every level
And here’s the terrifying truth:
Once a Constitutional Convention opens, there are NO limits. They can throw out the Constitution and re-write a new one!
• Freedom of speech — gone.
• Voting rights — gone.
• Judicial independence — gone.
• Checks and balances — gone.
Once it starts, there’s no mechanism to stop them.
This was never about one courthouse.
This was never about one immigrant.
This is a full-scale assault on American democracy itself.
They are priming the public for dictatorship — and they are dangerously close to finishing the job.
They are counting on us to be distracted.
They are counting on us to stay silent.
They are counting on us to give up.
If they trigger a Constitutional Convention, they will not “fix” the Constitution —
they will throw it out.
And it will be Trump’s kingdom. We won’t. Not now. Not ever.
This is the warning.
This is the moment.
Stand up. Speak out. Protests on May 1st!
Call your representatives (202) 224-3121. Don’t get tired.
Stop disinformation with truth. The media is being controlled.

Frankly, I think creating a new constitution would be more trouble than the fasc would want to go through.
Unless someone’s already written one for him?
His panties are all bunched up.
Great Pollster John McLaughlin, one of the most highly respected in the industry, has just stated that The Failing New York Times Poll, and the ABC/Washington Post Poll, about a person named DONALD J. TRUMP, ME, are FAKE POLLS FROM FAKE NEWS ORGANIZATIONS. The New York Times has only 37% Trump 2024 voters, and the ABC/Washington Post Poll has only 34% Trump Voters, unheard of numbers unless looking for a negative result, which they are. These people should be investigated for ELECTION FRAUD, and add in the FoxNews Pollster while you’re at it. They are Negative Criminals who apologize to their subscribers and readers after I WIN ELECTIONS BIG, much bigger than their polls showed I would win, loose a lot of credibility, and then go on cheating and lying for the next cycle, only worse. They suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, and there is nothing that anyone, or anything, can do about it. THEY ARE SICK, almost only write negative stories about me no matter how well I am doing (99.9% at the Border, BEST NUMBER EVER!), AND ARE TRULY THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE! I wish them well, but will continue to fight to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Wtf is this?
Cutting costs by having posters printed and put on the White House lawn. It looks like at least a hundred of them.
Fucking ghouls.
And where’s the one for Tramp himself?
Ah right, the felonious rapist hasn’t been ARRESTED.
I don’t know. With people like Chuck Schumer representing the Dems in Congress, I’m not sure I do trust their ability to handle the country’s problems, even if they were in charge. Yes, some shit got done when Biden was President, but not enough, and some of it was by executive order. Congress has had a problem with not wanting to do anything for a long time. Their ceding of power to the executive branch is part of how we got here. So do I trust them more than Trump? Of course. Do I trust them? No, I really don’t.
What I’ve found interesting is you have to almost seek out the coverage on Sander’s and AOC rallies, or even the massive protests that continue pretty much every weekend.
Yet when Trump, as a candidate or even as a former President, stumbled in front of a mic for any reason, every channel dropped everything to cover it live.
Amazing that.
He literally has it framed up outside the Oval Office. If you needed proof those Wanted posters in post offices weren’t useful, here’s your proof.
