yeah, but it appears that he has also got control of my government money and that is not fine, not fine at all!
Absolutely. None of it is fine. My comment was missing a big old “/s” (will add). Musk paying himself is a huge conflict.
How long before they cut payments for things like social security or tax rebates to Democratic voters?
It seems slightly weird to point to pfas policy as the point where Trump betrayed “MAHA” voters. (The mere existence of “MAHA” voters doesn’t make sense.) Trump, during his first administration declared (without evidence, of course) that the air and water were the cleanest under his presidency while simultaneously bragging about having eliminated air and water quality regulations… not to mention his actively malevolent stances on climate change, etc. etc. Facts and logic don’t come into it. There was never any consistency or coherent promises from Trump, just wishful thinking (from both Trump and his supporters) that Trump would do a thing but it would somehow magically have the opposite effect of what you’d logically expect… The pfas policy is exactly what Trump voters were voting for, even if they somehow fooled themselves into thinking otherwise.
Their other Jesus had things to say about free trade and protectionism.
Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies; they are our allies. We should beware of the demagogs who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends – weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world – all while cynically waving the American flag. The expansion of the international economy is not a foreign invasion; it is an American triumph, one we worked hard to achieve, and something central to our vision of a peaceful and prosperous world of freedom.
Yep, exactly right about what they said on the campaign trail… JFC, why the fuck didn’t people listen. This is straight up shock doctrine shit…
You know what? I’m already sick of being told to we need to reach out and show sympathy for all the people surprised at what Trump is doing, because they didn’t really think he would. Ok…but what did they think he was going to do? It was still all about hurting people, wasn’t it? Just not them? Hang that nonsense then. We get out of this from people fighting for a better, kinder world for everyone, not from assholes who wanted trans and brown people to be thrown on the pyre.
Anyone who voluntarily didn’t vote against Trump is irredeemable, IMO, and deserves no sympathy or leniency. Whether they didn’t believe he’d do it, or were upset by some of Biden’s policies, or whatever other reason they come up with, there is absolutely no excuse for failing to vote against the Nazi. I could understand some people doing it the first time around, though even then they would have had to have been living under a rock not to see the warning signs… but the second time? Everyone old enough to vote lived through Trump’s first administration. They were there. They’re all Nazis IMO, from the hardcore white supremacist terrorists to the supposedly-enlightened college students who decided letting fascism win was somehow the solution to the Biden administration’s support of Israel. Not one of them cared about the vulnerable people who would die as a result of their choice.
Of course Trump’s spokescritters will just use that as evidence of a failure of DEI.
