It’s too much to hope that the Puerto Rican co-owner lectured ICE, and told them that they need to take a US Geography Survey class that should be offered at one of the institutions of higher education located in the great Philadelphia area.

My heritage never went south of the English channel, nor east of Sweden, and can code switch to deep WVian in a heartbeat, but I’m nervous. Cannot imagine what some of y’all are going through! But we are here to help in whatever way we can.

I wonder if planes are flying now with half or more of the seats empty, as people (wisely?) cancel flights and otherwise don’t buy tickets.
I think it’s more likely to start showing in a couple of weeks. People with current reservations probably can’t afford the loss by canceling. And businesses will keep current meetings.

My next door neighbour is due to fly to New York in a few weeks as part of a deputation to the UN on nuclear disarmament. I know she’s having second thoughts because she doesn’t want to travel to the U.S. at this point (from Canada), but I think this is an important action for her to take, but now the whole safety issue is adding another wrinkle.
