The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

The Central Intelligence Agency offered buyouts to its entire workforce on Tuesday, citing an aim to bring the agency in line with Donald Trump’s priorities, the Wall Street Journal and CNN have reported.
The US spy agency is also freezing the hiring of job applicants already given a conditional offer, the WSJ reported, quoting an aide to CIA director John Ratcliffe.

Trump’s CIA will have a greater focus on the western hemisphere, targeting countries not traditionally considered adversaries of the US.

Genuine question, because the concept of a western and an eastern hemisphere doesn’t exist in my culture: is that everything west of the US or everything west of the Greenwich meridian or the hemisphere that contains what is usually termed “the west”?
(I guess what I am asking is whether we in Europe are a target of the Trump Intelligence Agency or not)

I was pondering that recently. Oh, not the question of should they be hurt, because they absolutely should, but rather when to hurt them. How many of us have to disappear or be killed before it’s morally acceptable to go beyond a sternly worded letter to our “representatives” or, gasp, attend a protest? I’m not advocating for violence, but it’s inevitable and I’m just wondering when it becomes reasonable. If fighting back now is bad, when does it become reasonable?
